An Introduction to the Faces Program

Faces is a easy to use and extremely affordable program to help agencies create composite sketches.

For more information please visit IQ Biometrix's website.

From the IQ Biometrix website:
Designed and created by a Canadian software company, FACES is a breakthrough composite picture software available on CD-ROM, containing a database of close to 4,000 specially-coded facial features. By simply clicking on these features with the mouse, users of all ages can create endless combinations of faces of either sex and any race -- in as much time as it will take you to read this paragraph! All of the selected features are automatically blended together, making the resulting picture look just like a photograph.

How to get Faces Pictures into BeyondMissing flyers

It's very simple! Once you have completed the sketch, save the workfile, then you can export it as a BMP (Windows BitMaP) format picture.
Once the sketch is exported from Faces, you have to convert it from BMP to JPG (also called JPEG) format so that it may be used in a BeyondMissing flyer.

Irfanview Format Conversion Sample

Open the image you just exported from
Faces in your image editing software,
Irfanview Open Dialog

(At this point in the process you may want to scale
or crop the image. Click here for help with this.)

Then select the File Menu, Save As, then select
the JPG file format (in the file type dropdown).
Irfanview Save As Dialog

Then you are done, and can use the
resulting image in other programs and applications.
