Using the BeyondMissing Parent Flyer Tool

If you do not have a digital image of your child, you can create a flyer without an image, or you can take a physical photograph of your child to a local printing service and request that the photo be digitally scanned. Inform the business that your child is missing and (1) they can scan the photo into an digital image quickly and (2) may waive the fee for the service.

Most service bureaus usually have internet access available where you may connect to BeyondMissing's website in order to utilize our Parent Flyer Tool.

Image Sizes

BeyondMissing's Flyer Tool takes the image you provide and scales it to the correct size for our flyer, so larger images are acceptable for use in our Parent Flyer Tool.

Any image smaller than 100x100 pixels usually does not have the clarity for electronic printing, and may give undesirable results.

Please make sure that your image is cropped to remove the white page space surrounding the scan area, otherwise the image may not appear as desired on the final flyer.

Image File Types

At the moment we only accept the following file types for BeyondMissing flyers:
  • JPG - 'JPEG' Joint Photography Experts Group, 16.7 million colors.
  • PNG - Portable Network Graphics, a new standard supporting 256 and 16.7 million colors.
  • GIF - Graphics Interchange Format, 256 colors. The least desirable format because of it's limited color support.
JPG files are the preferred format because of their color depth and standard acceptance in the graphics community. Any current photo editing software has the ability to save these types of files.
We do not support BMP, PCX, PSD, TGA, or TIFF files.
